Dr. Ruth's journey is nothing short of inspiring. Born in Germany in 1928, she escaped the horrors of the Holocaust by moving to Switzerland at a young age. After the war, she ended up in Israel as a sniper (yes, you read that right!) before making her way to France and then the U.S. to pursue her studies. With a Doctorate from Columbia University, she was unstoppable.
